Mags The Axe is the nom de guerre of a forty-something woman in Louisville, KY. She is an African-American, a Baptist, a political junkie, a science-fiction and fantasy fan, an unrepentant celebrity watcher, a podcast host, a sister to two disabled young men, and a fan of tabletop roleplaying games, board games, and card games.

She was a Republican (largely because her beloved grandmother was) until she realized that the neo-conservatives have the GOP locked in a death grip, and no one in the party is willing to fight to bring it back to the ideals of Teddy Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, and Dwight D. Eisenhower (she’s looking at you, Senator McCain). So she’s unrepentatly changed her registration to Democrat,
